Established in 1989 by Tadgh and Annamaria Gallivan as ‘Tadgh Gallivan Insurances Ltd’, the company underwent restructuring in 2002, resulting in three distinct entities: Property Partners Gallivan, Gallivan Financial, and Gallivan Hooper Dolan, co-founded by Tadgh, Annamaria Gallivan, and Ronnie Dolan.
Denis Murphy assumed responsibility for the company’s day-to-day operations in 2002 and was appointed Managing Director and co-owner in 2006. This marked the evolution of the company into ‘Gallivan Murphy Hooper Dolan Insurances Ltd’, trading as GMHD.ie. The relocation to new offices on High Street, Killarney, in 2012 facilitated the company’s rapid growth and expansion of its all-Ireland customer base.
Presently, GMIB.ie is led by its co-founders Tadgh Gallivan, Denis Murphy, and Simon Gallivan, guided by values of professionalism, honesty, and a commitment to investing in people.
GMIB.ie offers a wide range of insurance solutions, including personal insurance, business insurance, wealth management, and property sales, rental, and valuations. In June 2022, a strategic decision was made to partner with Assured Partners, the fastest-growing independent insurance agency in the USA since its inception in 2011.
